How long did it take you to finish this piece, if you remember? And for the detail, do you just plot out the general shapes and go along as you work on it, completely freehand it, or sketch out a lot of them? I don't understand how people do this thing. @_@

Apparently according to my teacher, Romanticists = 19th Century hippies. x_o
Hm, this took forever. FOREVER. I worked on and off on this cursed painting for like ... like 2 months. I think most of the time was taken up chatting with kids on AIM though. I fail at multitasking.
And, the only shape I plotted out was the BIG TOP-SHAPED-CIRCLE-THING for the houseplanet (as in I drew a big circle and that was it) as well as the two ram skulls
Otherwise, freehand for the win. It would take way too long to sketch them, then ink them, then color ... them ...
